Macro Moments Challenge: Week 6

Refraction through the Raindrops.

This is my entry for the challenge of macro photography, which is hosted by Susan at her blog Musinโ€™ with Susan. The challenge begins each Wednesday, named as Macro Moments Challenge. If you want to participate in this challenge, check out the rules from the link.

My entry for this weekโ€™s challenge is Refraction of Flower inside the Raindrops. If you watch the raindrops with a little bit of attention, you can see the refraction of the red rose and the window of the adjacent house within the big raindrop of the middle and other drops are refracting some parts of the rose petals. The drops are hanging from the branch of a very small caster plant, which I, recently, planted in the garden of my backyard.

This photo is captured by my mobile phone with an external attachment of macro lens.

Lovely, Sayanti. I bought some lenses for my iPhone, but have forgotten to try them. Will today!

I do like this. I’m interested in your use of a macro lens on phone. It obviously works well. I’m using iPhone more now but always use DSLR and Macro lens for macro. Was macro for phone expensive?

No, not at all. It’s found at very reasonable price. It’s not possible to carry DSLR everywhere. Mobile lenses are easy for that purpose. I think iPhone has macro mode setting. Is that not enough for macro?

Thanks for info. I’ll investigate further. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sayanti how much time and how many clicks did you take to get such a fab shot?

You are right. After clicking so many shots for a long time, I found this one. But, when you are totally involved in any thing, time and effort will be countless to you. Glad that you’ve noticed my efforts behind it.

Yup seeing it only I felt that this can not be work of a single shot, Kudos for your persistence and effort. Great work.

Things can look more beautiful if we slightly change our perspective of looking right?
